IP: “Organizers Say First-ever Green Fest Was a Success”

An excellent article in the September 25 issue of The Independent Press of Bloomfield captured the excitement of the first Bloomfield Green Fest. If you don’t have the paper, you can read the article online at LocalSource.com.

First Green Fest a Huge Success

The first Bloomfield Green Fest was by all accounts a huge success. At Green Fest, held during Bloomfield’s annual Harvest Fest on September 20-21, 2008, about 1,000 people visited the 26 exhibitors, all local non-profit organizations and businesses focused on sustainability, to learn about recycling, composting, home energy efficiency audits and remodeling, and green products [...]

The first Bloomfield Green Fest received a nice preview write-up last week in The Independent Press of Bloomfield. Staff Writer Michael W. Curley, Jr., captured the excitement we had going into the event, and we’re looking forward to seeing this week’s write-up. The article isn’t on their website any longer, but I’ve posted it after the [...]

The first Bloomfield Green Fest got off to an outstanding start with a steady stream of visitors to the 17 exhibitors’ tables. Everyone was pleased, from the event organizers to the vendors and non-profits, the visitors, and even Bloomfield’s Mayor Raymond McCarthy and Council members who stopped by. On Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon to [...]
