Greener Bloomfield is a new organization that promotes sustainable living, working, and community in Bloomfield, New Jersey. We’ve developed green building guidelines for the Bloomfield Center Redevelopment Plan, provided feedback on the town’s recent Energy Audit, and helped the Mayor and Township Council move toward paperless meetings, and we co-sponsor the Bloomfield Green Fest.
Greener Bloomfield is in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our objectives are to:
- Be a source of sustainability research and policy advice to the township mayor, council, administrator, and departments;
- Provide outreach and communication to the residents, businesses, and institutions in town;
- Conduct activities like the Bloomfield Green Fest and other sustainability programs;
- Seek grants for township sustainability projects;
- Conduct training and education programs for building officials, residents, and businesses.
