Sustainable Jersey Presentation in Maplewood March 12
Sustainable Jersey will be holding an information session for interested municipalities on March 12 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Municipal Building, 574 Valley Street, Maplewood. The session will provide details on the municipal certification program along with applications for Sustainable Jersey grants from Wal-Mart. Greener Bloomfield is proposing that Bloomfield Township seek Sustainable Jersey certification.
At the information session, representatives from Sustainable Jersey will be on hand to explain the benefits of the program and how to register and mobilize community resources to begin the program. Organizations presenting may include the NJ League of Municipalities’ Mayors’ Committee for a Green Future, NJ Sustainable State Institute at Rutgers University, Municipal Land Use Center at The College of NJ, Rutgers Center for Green Building, NJ Department of Environmental Protection, and the NJ Board of Public Utilities. No RSVPs needed.
