Outstanding Start for First Green Fest
The first Bloomfield Green Fest got off to an outstanding start with a steady stream of visitors to the 17 exhibitors’ tables. Everyone was pleased, from the event organizers to the vendors and non-profits, the visitors, and even Bloomfield’s Mayor Raymond McCarthy and Council members who stopped by. On Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon to 6pm, the smart fortwo car will be an additional draw, and a few different exhibitors, including Montclair’s Go Lightly store, Cornucopia Network of NJ, and Ed Schwarz from Green Living Solutions will generate some fresh interest. The composting demonstrations proved to be a big hit and will continue on Sunday. And Greener Bloomfield received 59 sign-ups! (Green Fest is co-sponsored by Greener Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Recycling Committee.)
